Your Voice Matters

The Zoning Commission works for YOU. Here is how you can contact them and demand amendments to protect our community.

Email the Zoning Commission

The Zoning Commission votes in February. We need to flood their inboxes demanding a postponement until June to allow proper community input.

Dear Zoning Commission Members,

As a resident of [Zip Code], I am writing to oppose the proposed "Central St. Tammany Overlay District" in its current form. I am a member of the "Keep Bush Rural" group.

Most residents in our area were unaware of this proposal until recently. To our knowledge, no community members were interviewed during the planning process. While many "stakeholders" were consulted for the corridor study, none were actual citizens of Bush.

At the December 2nd Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, Commissioner Narcisse acknowledged this plan "had the potential to be a bombshell" (See 36:05 at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daGM15ElrnI). The only reason the meeting wasn't packed with hundreds of concerned residents is because we didn't know about it—not because we support it.

Our community strongly opposes this plan. We have gathered ~400 signatures and comments on our online petition (matching the number of letters the Parish mailed), and we are in contact with over 1,000 residents online. Please visit www.keepbushrural.net to see how our community really feels.

We respectfully ask that you POSTPONE any vote until June 2026 or vote NO. This will give us time to work with Ross Liner, Erin Cook, and the Planning Department to create a solution that works for everyone.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
